The Pitfalls of a Script

The Pitfalls of a Script in a Corporate Video

So you made the decision to do video and now you’re trying to figure out “What do I say?” and “How do I prepare?” Well, let’s start by a script and the pitfalls of having a script. Let’s face it, we’re not actors, we don’t have experience reading teleprompters. We’re not going to memorize paragraph after paragraph of script. The best way to prepare is not to prepare. Be yourself on camera. Be natural. Say the things you would say on the phone to a customer or in person. And at the end of the day, it’s important to work on your delivery and just be relaxed. Because, they are not going to necessarily remember what you said, even in a 60-second video. But what you want to leave them with is how they felt.
